Apple has recently abandoned its attemp to trademark the "Pod" trademark .This way,anyone can now use the word in their names and brands .
Even though this was a battle that lasted for seven years,Apple decided to gave up on 13 April,2011 .
It is yet unknown why Apple attempted to trademark the "Pod" mark over and over again,and then gave up .It seems that the first filling made by Apple was made on 29 July ,2004.In December last year,the company abandoned its attemt,only to try again one month later,in January 2011 .
